Students work alongside an experienced wildlife veterinarian and participate in the capture and care of wildlife. This is a hands-on programme especially for Veterinary students and is very exciting as well as being instructional.
The Jivdaya Charitable Trust is a non government organization which is dedicated to helping stray animals and birds, free of charge. The objective of the Trust is to reduce the pain and suffering of all animals who have been injured and help them live a normal life.

Students will have the privilege of being taught by Dr Ganga de Silva, owner of Global Vet Clinic in Colombo. Only 2 students are taken at any one time to ensure high-quality personalized training
Work at the Animal Rescue Centre (ARC) Goa and learn to spay/neuter dogs and cats under the guidance of a qualified English speaking vet. Stay for 2, 3 or 4 weeks in this beautiful area and experience the Indian culture, food and make a real difference to the plight of the animals.
Vets and Wildlife takes volunteers to work with animals and wildlife in Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and Egypt. In particular vet students have the chance to practice their skills such as castrations and sterilisations and gain valuable hands on experience.
