Students will work alongside an experienced wil dlife veterinarian and participate in the capture and care of wildlife daily. This is a totally hands-on programme especially for Veterinary students and is very exciting as well as being instructional.

We are very privileged to work with the Blue Paw Trust (BPT) which was set up in 2003 to provide free or low cost spay/neuter programs and other services based on population control and the eradication of rabies from Sri Lanka.
Dr. Rohan Perera works at his own Veterinary Clinic in Negombo, Sri Lanka, just North West of Colombo. He has done extensive work with the Home and Abroad Animal Welfare Group giving his free time to aid the street animals and the work of the HAAAW team.

Vets and Wildlife takes volunteers to work with animals and wildlife in Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and Egypt. In particular vet students have the chance to practice their skills such as castrations and sterilisations and gain valuable hands on experience.
