Students work alongside an experienced wildlife veterinarian and participate in the capture and care of wildlife. This is a hands-on programme especially for Veterinary students and is very exciting as well as being instructional.
The Jivdaya Charitable Trust is a non government organization which is dedicated to helping stray animals and birds, free of charge.
The objective of the Trust is to reduce the pain and suffering of all animals who have been injured and help them live a normal life.
We are proud and excited to be working with Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre near Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Started in 1991, Moholoholo is managed by Brian Jones who is passionate about animals and who has been working with them all his life.
Students will have the privilege of being taught by Dr Ganga de Silva, owner of Global Vet Clinic in Colombo. Only 2 students are taken at any one time to ensure high-quality personalized training
Work at the Animal Rescue Centre (ARC) Goa and learn to spay/neuter dogs and cats under the guidance of a qualified English speaking vet. Stay for 2, 3 or 4 weeks in this beautiful area and experience the Indian culture, food and make a real difference to the plight of the animals.
The Spay/neuter program is NOT available on the following dates:
October – November due to the Diwali (festival in India). Dates may vary. Please check with us regarding availability during that time.
January and possibly the first week in February due to the Kite Flying Festival which injures thousands off birds. Students interested in helping with the birds are welcome to come during that time.
